The 2024 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI 2024) will be held in China from May 1 through May 19. Pros will begin arriving beforehand to bootcamp and play on the KR server. When players come to a different region for a tournament, Riot gives them special accounts to use which have all skins, champions, and other goodies unlocked. This is one way you can tell an account was created by Riot for a player because it will have all 20 rune pages unlocked, be a fresh account but already level 30. These accounts also start with a Platinum 1 internal MMR which means they automatically start off against players around Platinum 1 or Diamond 4 in their first ranked games.
