Welcome to the second edition of the TrackingThePros’ LEC weekly report. Every week we will take a look at the current valuation for the LEC teams and the schedule they have ahead of them. Armed with this information, we will let you know of opportunities to increase your share value.
Looking back at Week #6
Week 6 of the LEC got thrown off drastically, as Excel Esports managed to upset two games in a row, throwing a wrench in our predictions. Our high-risk investment of the week was Misfits Gaming, who played really well. They managed to upset Fnatic on Friday, however, they lost it all when Excel Esports pulled off their first 2-0 week of the split. This was great news for Voltaire and Brokenbroker who both went all-in on Excel. They managed to pull off the highest profit ever in the weekly LEC with a grand total of $49,612 profit!
What opportunities does week #7 bring
The standings of the LEC are incredibly close so far. With only G2 Esports having qualified so far for the playoffs, anything can happen. And with that, the stock values represent that well. There are several great investments possible this week, starting with the Fnatic squad. The Fnatic team will be facing off against Schalke 04 on Friday, and then take on the LEC superteam of G2 esports. It is important to note, that Fnatic is so far the only team in the LEC that has been able to defeat G2 esports, and I believe they could do it again.
Another chance worth looking at is the team of Origin. Origin is currently at a tied 5th place in the standings, but 6th in the stock value. Facing off against Misfits Gaming, against whom they have a potential $135 profit per share. Their second match is against Schalke 04, against whom they are likely to have a potential profit of ~$180. Both of these series are entirely winnable for Origin if they manage to pull out of their 3-game losing slump.
Who do we avoid in week #7 of the LEC
Last week we avoided investing in G2 Esports, Splyce, and Fnatic and Schalke. This week, however, G2, Splyce, and Schalke are the teams that I would avoid. And with that, possibly include Excel Esports. The first three are pretty self-explanatory, the risk is just too great they lose one of their matches and their stock value collapses. Excel Esports, however, is a much different story. With the team coming off their first 2-0 week, people won’t underestimate them like before. People will prepare much better against the team and take the game more seriously, which will drastically reduce the chance of more upset victories this week. On top of that, with their stock value gaining $314 in value, they have an incredible amount more to lose than before.
Those are our investment recommendations for this week, be sure to invest your money wisely for the upcoming week of LEC matches! See you next time, and enjoy some great League of Legends.
