2019 LCK Summer, Week #7 Report 2019-07-23 by Arend Zijdenbos

Welcome to the second edition of the TrackingThePros’ LCK weekly report. Every week we will take a look at the current valuation for the LCK teams and the schedule they have ahead of them. Armed with this information, we will let you know of opportunities to increase your share value.

Looking back at LCK Week #6

Things did not go as I expected in week #6 of the LCK, as Sandbox lost another series. This time they lost against the team of Gen.G. Gen.G, however, are absolutely killing it over the last two weeks. Gen.G is currently running with a win-spree of 4 series in a row, which has caused their stock value to rise drastically. Since week 5, their stock value has shot up by a combined $427. This has made them the highest valued team in the LCK now at $1,916. In contrast, Sandbox Gaming stock has lost a lot of its value over the past two weeks, with a combined loss of $256 per share currently at $1,704.

How can we capitalize on this information

First, the case of Gen.G. Gen.G will face off against SK Telecom T1 and KT Rolster this week. As the Gen.G stock is currently at a season-high, betting against them could earn us a lot. Back in week 4, however, the team got crushed by SK Telecom T1. This weeks match could be a repeat performance. One reason for this is that SK Telecom T1 themselves are on fire as well. SKT is currently on a five series-winning spree. Looking at the potential earnings, SKT can earn $139, where Gen.G can only earn $61 per share. With both teams having a good chance at winning the series, but with SKT’s share value is far below that of Gen.G. My advice would be to use this opportunity to bet against Gen.G.

The other opportunity here is once more Sandbox Gaming. I can’t help but still believe in the team a lot. With their stock value reaching it’s lowest point all season in week #6, this could be the time to get in on the hype train. While they lost to Damwon Gaming in week #5, they have much better odds this time around. This time, Sandbox Gaming has the potential to earn $133 per share, where before the odds were much worse.

Why I would avoid Jin Air Greenwings in week #7

While I still think the Jin Air Greenwings are going to make a comeback sometime this season and bring out some upsets, this isn’t the right time to invest. In their first match, against Hanwa Life Esports and the second series against Damwon Gaming, there just isn’t as much to gain as before. Unlike previous weeks, Jin Air Greenwings’ stock can lose $52 per share in their match against Hanwa Life Esports.

While Hanwa Life Esports is the 9th place team in the league, I just don’t think this is the time to take this chance. At the current odds, Jin Air Greenwings would have to win one in four times these teams face-off, which I just do not see happening in their current shape.

Those are our investment recommendations for this week, be sure to invest your money wisely for the upcoming week of LCK matches! See you next time, and enjoy some great League of Legends.
